It is my privilege to serve as the Headmistress of this esteemed institution, where we nurture young minds and empower the next generation of female leaders. Bishop Thomas Labrecque Girls’ Secondary School is founded on the belief that education is the holistic formation of the human being. Therefore, the School is committed to nurturing and developing girls intellectually, spiritually, morally, socially, emotionally, and practically (integral formation), so that every student can discover, develop, and appropriately use the talents and abilities entrusted to her by Almighty God.
We are guided by the principle that, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,” Proverbs 9:10.The School places strong emphasis on faith, good character formation, discipline, integrity, hard work, respect, responsibility, and service to others.
The School believes that every girl possesses inherent dignity and worth, unique abilities, and the potential to become a woman of strong character who makes a positive contribution to society. As a congregation of the Sisters of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of Good Counsel, we have extensive experience in running various educational institutions, from primary and secondary schools to colleges. We prepare our students to become self-reliant, to value themselves, and to have confidence in their abilities and performance. We strive to empower them to become productive and responsible individuals who can contribute meaningfully to their families, communities, nation, and the international community.
